Inside the Atelier: How We Hand-Embroider

Inside the Atelier

Every Bisorich ceremonial gown begins as a bolt of velvet and a bobbin of gold thread. Between those raw materials and the piece that arrives at your door are between 60 and 120 hours of hand-work, performed by artisans with an average of 15 years of experience.

Step one: the motif

Our lead designer draws the embroidery plan on tracing paper, placing each motif by hand so the proportions speak to your specific body and the occasion you've ordered for.

Step two: the thread

We use heritage-grade gold-toned metallic thread from approved regional suppliers — the same thread our grandmothers used, tested for durability and colour-fastness in our own workshop.

Step three: the hands

One artisan. One gown. Start to finish. This is why our lead times sit at 10–21 days — and why we don't apologise for it.
